Punjab Elections 2012 news: The People’s Party of Punjab ‘PPP’ election symbol is finalized by the Election Commission yesterday i.e. on 4-Jan-2011
The Punjab Elections 2012 are near about arriving after 25 days. The Punjab Elections will occur on this month’s end after the Basant Panchami festival. So, the parties such as Shiromani AKali Dal has released their candidates list before the parties such as congress Punjab. However, Punjab Congress Committee ‘PCC’ was in no hurry to announce its candidates list. Congress had selected 4 Jan, 2012 for the announcement of the candidates list. The other parties such as BJP, Punjab has also unveiled its candidates list
The Punjab Elections 2012 will be big this time with a new addition to the political parties. We are talking about the People’s Party of Punjab ‘PPP’ which has been taken part in the Punjab Elections 2012.
Manpreet Singh Badal is the president of the People’s Party of Punjab.
While the PPP party has stood in this elections, 2012, the election symbol was still to be selected by the Election Commission. So, Election commission suggested few symbols for the People’s Party of Punjab.

Election Commission had earlier suggested 10 election symbols to Manpreet Singh Badal and other PPP higher party officials. The election symbols such as ice cream, Nagada, Aeroplane, Banana, Batsman, Balloon, Cups, Candles, Saucers & Kites.
The party officials chose the KITES election symbol for their People’s Party of Punjab. Manpreet Singh Badal showed his excitement and said that the party is very grateful to the Election Commission as the Kites symbol is perfectly matching the PPP philosophy.
He further told that on this Basant Panchami the sky will be full of the kites of People’s Party of Punjab. The Basant Panchami Festival falls on the date 28 Jan, 2012.
